Well,I think that the reason why many lawyers go into politics is that,after studying law you can have general knowledge of the principles of justice, equity, on which your way of thinking is developed,and this is an important pillar,if you decide to take decision for many other people.
The culture you get studying law is very solid,so knowledge I guess, could help to understand better people around us,and take decisions considering expecially situation,way of living,and thoughts of them.
But anyway I rather to say that law can help,but the difference between a good and a bad politician are the intuitions and ideas that an individual has.
